Whitehaven High Football Gears Up for a Stronger, Smarter Season Offseason Focus: Bigger, Faster, Stronger, Smarter Whitehaven High School’s football team is dedicated to holistic improvement this offseason. Head Coach Rodney Saulsberry emphasizes developing physical strength alongside football IQ as they install a new offensive system that requires mental sharpness and quick thinking.

Spring and Summer Camps Boost Development The team has a packed schedule with spring practice against Memphis Business Academy, and participation in mega camps at the University of Memphis, the University of Southern Mississippi, and Tennessee State University. They will also attend a 7-on-7 camp in Memphis, while the leadership group will take part in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) summer camp to build character and teamwork.

Coaching Staff Additions Bring Experience This offseason, Whitehaven welcomed Cassius Vaughn, a former NFL player and Memphis native, as their new offensive coordinator. He is joined by former players Justin Greene (WR coach) and Adam Collins (LB coach), adding valuable insight and leadership to the staff.

Players to Watch: Rising Stars Ready to Shine Several players stand out as key contributors this season, including LB/DE Cory House, RBs Christopher Talley and Quinterrion Hollins, ATH Terrance Whitley, WR/DB Cameron Jackson, and QBs Jaden Thomas and Curtis Shields. Incoming freshman Reagan Bullard is also expected to make an impact. New additions to the watchlist include DB Corey Jenkins, OL Zacolby Malone, DB Quintin Cottrell, DL Darius Bates, and LBs Dino Wade and Jontravious Johnson.

Enhanced Strength and Conditioning Program Under the strength coach Aaron Wilson, the Tigers have upgraded their weight training and fitness routines, focusing on core strength and overall athleticism. This new program is already showing positive results on and off the field.

Adaptive Coaching Approach Coach Saulsberry stresses that while the team’s values remain constant, the coaching methods are continually evolving. “We’re always learning and improving our strategies to give our players the best opportunity to succeed,” he said.

Community Engagement and Fan Connection Whitehaven Football maintains strong community ties through activities such as elementary school reading programs and local business meetings, fostering support and unity between the team and its fanbase.

Challenges Ahead: Staying Resilient The biggest challenge for the Tigers will be overcoming the inevitable obstacles that come with any season. Coach Saulsberry is confident that the team’s resilience and unity will help them face adversity head-on.
