St. Charles, IL — With a strong mix of experienced seniors and promising underclassmen, St. Charles East High School’s Girls Volleyball team is gearing up for a competitive season under the direction of Head Coach Kate McCullagh.

As the offseason progresses, all eyes are on several returning players who are expected to lead the charge this fall. Kaylee McInnis, a senior outside hitter, brings power and consistency to the front row, while Lexi Schrandt and Quinn Carney, both senior defensive specialists, will anchor the backcourt with their tenacity and court awareness. Ava Romero, a senior middle, adds height and energy to the net, rounding out a well-balanced senior group. Junior Scarlett Dickerson, versatile on the outside and right side, is expected to make a big impact as well.

Coach McCullagh is also excited about the addition of several talented sophomores who are ready to make their mark on the varsity level. Setters Franki Fevold and Tessa Schneider will be working hard to direct the offense, while Emma Phillips and Ava Kottmeier, both outside hitters, bring athleticism and fresh energy to the rotation.

"We’re looking forward to seeing how our new faces blend with our experienced players," says Coach McCullagh. "There’s a lot of potential in this group, and they’re already showing strong chemistry in the offseason."

With leadership, depth, and a hunger to compete, St. Charles East is preparing to make waves in the Illinois high school volleyball scene this year.
