As the Liberty Center Tigers gear up for another exciting football season, Head Coach Casey Mohler and his staff are putting in the work to keep the program on the rise. Coming off a strong campaign led by an exceptional senior class, the offseason has been all about development, both individually and as a team.
Offseason Focus
Coach Mohler and his staff have emphasized physical development, with a strong focus on getting “bigger, faster, and stronger.” The program is also prioritizing building depth across all positions to ensure they’re prepared for the challenges ahead.
Players to Watch
The Tigers return a solid core of talented athletes ready to step up.
Hunter Spangler and Thomas Mohler, both two-year starters, have shown tremendous work ethic and leadership throughout the offseason.
Kellen Wymer, another key returner, has already garnered two Division I offers thanks to his performance and potential.
T. Garrison Kruse is drawing Division I attention as well, making him another name to watch closely this fall.
Weight Room & Speed Training
A standout element of the offseason has been the team’s dedication to training. Around 30 players have been working regularly with a speed and agility coach, a testament to the program’s commitment to athletic development and long-term success.
Nutrition & Strength
Liberty Center is also taking a serious approach to nutrition. Coach Mohler notes that “almost every one of our kids is on a nutrition program to gain healthy weight and strength,” highlighting a holistic approach to performance.
Coaching Strategy
The coaching staff hasn’t taken any time off either. They’ve been actively meeting, attending clinics, and evaluating talent to prepare new strategies and improve existing ones.
Community & Support
Even in the offseason, the community remains a key pillar of the program. “Our community has been great at supporting us,” Mohler says—a strong fan base that’s sure to be behind the Tigers every step of the way this fall.
Challenges Ahead
One of the biggest challenges Liberty Center faces is replacing a historic senior class that set the school record for wins over a four-year span. However, with a talented group of returners and a focused offseason, the Tigers are determined to continue their winning tradition.
