Eagle High Football: Building on Success and Chasing the Championship in 2025
Offseason Focus
We bring back plenty of experience at the skill positions, and a few in the trenches. But the biggest key to our success last season started with our senior leadership and togetherness. The focus this year is on our senior leaders to make this their team and to lead with love.
Special Offseason Events
We will be attending team camp at the University of Nevada–Reno. We always like getting out of town to face competition from out of state. The trip overall is a great way for our players to connect and bond. Staying in a dorm for 3 nights and riding 6 hours on a bus harnesses that connectivity.
Notable Additions & Departures
We lose some key seniors who will be playing football at the next level, including:
Sione Perkins (Offensive Tackle) – Iowa State
Chance Jones (Safety) – University of Idaho
Nate Williams (Defensive End) – University of Idaho
Jack Giannini (Linebacker) – University of Idaho
We are also fortunate to have some impactful incoming transfers:
Cooper Murphy (WR) – From Murrieta Mesa, CA. All-conference receiver in Southern California.
Gage Canfield (OL/DL) – From Bonneville, UT. Another all-conference standout.
Traesean Ellis (DB) – From Owyhee, ID. One of the top corners in the state of Idaho.
Players to Watch
Noah Burnham (RB): 4-year starter and 1st Team All-State as a sophomore and junior.
Austin Ramsey (QB): 4-year letterman, 3-year starter, and conference Player of the Year.
Kingston Critchfield (OL): Returning 1st Team All-Conference offensive lineman.
Zay Wright (CB/WR): 3-year starter and top defensive back in Idaho. Will also contribute as a WR.
Jaxson Lebeau (MLB): 3-year starter, 1st Team All-Conference linebacker.
Jeremiah Minnett (DL): 3-year starter, earned all-conference honors as a junior.
Luke Mikita (ATH): 1st Team All-Conference “Offensive Flex” last year; will focus more on defense this season.
Landon Bult (TE): Sophomore tight end (6’5”, 205 lbs) with a high ceiling, expected to be a key target.
Weight Lifting and Fitness
We strictly track our weight room attendance. Right now, over 50 players in our program are at 90% attendance or higher. That speaks volumes about how hungry these players are. They got a taste of success last year but fell one quarter short of a state championship—they’re working hard to close that gap.
Coaching Perspective
Our defensive staff is brand new to the program and has been working hard in preparation. They are highly focused on building strong relationships with our players, which we believe is the foundation for on-field success.
Fan Engagement & Community Impact
Our community support is unmatched in the area. One of our core program pillars is staying connected with the community. From February through April, our players visit three local elementary schools weekly to read to and hang out with younger students.
We also participate in the Eagle Fun Days parade—a fantastic event for engaging with our supporters.
