Offseason Focus

Our offseason focus has centered around building muscle strength and endurance in the weight room. We believe that enhancing physical strength will translate directly into stronger finishes and better overall durability throughout the upcoming season.

Special Offseason Events

While our team isn’t attending any specific camps this summer, many of our runners are multi-sport athletes, which keeps them active and helps foster camaraderie year-round. Their experience in other sports naturally contributes to team bonding and athletic development.

Notable Additions & Departures

We’re excited to be returning the majority of our roster from last season, including seven core runners. That continuity gives us a strong foundation to build on and sets us up for a promising fall.

Players to Watch

Several runners are poised for breakout seasons based on their impressive progress last year and the work they’ve been putting in during the offseason:

Jaden McCandies

Ricco Daniels

Riley Clarida

These athletes have shown real growth and consistency, and we’re eager to see them elevate their performances this fall.

Weight Lifting & Fitness

We believe consistency is key. There’s no secret formula—just showing up every day, putting in the work, and trusting the process. That mindset is something we’re instilling throughout our team.

Nutrition

While we don’t have a formal nutrition program, we do encourage our athletes to eat clean and fuel properly. We occasionally provide meal plans and nutrition tips to help them make better food choices that support their performance.

Coaching Perspective

Every season is different, and a coach’s job is to adapt to the team in front of them. We’re constantly learning what works best for our current group and evolving our approach accordingly to maximize potential.

Fan Engagement & Community Impact

While Cross Country kicks off before school begins—making in-person engagement a challenge—we stay connected with our community by keeping our social media channels active and updated. It's a great way to spotlight our athletes and keep fans in the loop.

Biggest Challenges Ahead

Our main challenge this season will be adapting to new conference alignments and learning how to compete at a high level in every meet. It's a new chapter for us, and we’re ready to embrace it.
