Telfair County Flag Football: Building on a Strong Foundation in Year Two

Offseason Focus

Our main focus this offseason is improving at key positions—especially quarterback and linebacker. Since last year was our first season with a flag football program, we lacked the time to refine specific position play. This year, we’re dedicating more time and attention to getting players comfortable and confident in their roles.

Special Offseason Events

We’re excited to participate in an FCA-sponsored event in Dodge County this July. It will offer valuable competitive reps and a great opportunity to build team chemistry ahead of the new season.

Notable Additions & Departures

There have been no major changes to the roster or coaching staff. We’re fortunate to return the majority of our team, with only two players graduating. This continuity is key as we continue to grow our young program.

Players to Watch

Several players are primed for breakout seasons, including Jada Batten, Zhy Pace, Sarah Williams, and Hennessy Livingston. Jeriyah Mackey has shown outstanding progress at the rusher position and is expected to have a big year. Their offseason work and commitment are already showing in preseason development.

Weight Lifting and Fitness

Our athletes are enrolled in weight training during the school year and have been putting in strong effort. Their dedication in the weight room is laying the foundation for increased strength and stamina on the field.

Coaching Perspective

Our coaching staff is collaborating closely to evaluate systems and strategies that best suit our players. We've attended several coaching clinics and seminars this offseason to expand our playbook and find the right fit for our team’s evolving strengths.

Fan Engagement & Community Impact

The local community is energized and eagerly anticipating the start of the season. Their support has been outstanding and is a big motivator for the team as we push for greater success.

Biggest Challenges Ahead

Our biggest challenge this season is making it back to the playoffs and going deeper than we did last year. With more experience and a stronger foundation, we’re ready to face that challenge head-on.
