Scripps Ranch High School Field Hockey Season Preview

Offseason Focus

With a strong senior class graduating, our main focus this offseason has been rebuilding key components of our game. We're working on formation adjustments, set plays, and, most importantly, finishing in the circle. The team is developing new chemistry and establishing a fresh identity.

Special Offseason Events

To keep our athletes sharp and build team chemistry, there are pickup games at Torrey Pines High School, and additionally be training once a week together. These events provide valuable game experience and give our younger players a chance to step up.

Notable Additions & Departures

We lost a core group of seniors who played a major role in our previous success. However, we’re excited about the young talent moving up and ready to contribute at the varsity level.

Coaching Perspective

This upcoming season, our coaching approach will include a greater emphasis on the mental side of the game. We’ll be integrating more team bonding activities and mental performance exercises to help our players stay focused, resilient, and connected.

Biggest Challenges Ahead

We anticipate challenges with a younger roster, but this group is eager, motivated, and ready to compete. Our focus will be on rapid development and building confidence early in the season.
