Season Overview

The Cross High School Trojans wrapped up a memorable 2024–25 season with a 14-3 overall record and an 8-1 mark in region play. After a tough loss in our region opener, the team bounced back in dominant fashion, winning nine straight games and advancing to the second round of the playoffs—where we ultimately fell in a one-point heartbreaker on the road.

Key Players & Contributions

Caden Ramsey – Our team MVP. His impact extended far beyond stats, bringing leadership, energy, and consistency every game.

Preston Fuller – Senior guard who played his best basketball down the stretch and into the postseason.

Lavell Joyner – The floor general of our team and a major key to our success.

Micah Flute – Used his size effectively on both ends of the court.

Isaiah Wright – Freshman point guard, our best shooter, and most consistent on-ball defender.

Turning Point

The season’s turning point came with our first region game—a tough loss on the road. That experience humbled the entire team and became the catalyst for a renewed focus. We responded with intensity and discipline, dominating the remainder of our schedule and winning 8 of our last 9 games by double digits.

Player Development

Isaiah Wright made major strides throughout the season, proving himself on both ends of the court.

Preston Fuller elevated his game significantly late in the season, making the team even more difficult to match up against.

Team Resilience

Every time we lost, we came back with a double-digit win. That kind of grit and resilience defined our team’s character and competitive spirit.

Senior Leadership

Our senior class led by both example and vocal leadership. They served as outstanding role models and set the tone for what is expected within our program. Their presence will be deeply missed.

Looking Ahead

We have a strong group of underclassmen who are already putting in the work this offseason. Their hunger and commitment are setting the foundation for another successful year.

Offseason Focus

The primary area of improvement we’re targeting is shooting. Our players are dialed in and working hard to take that next step.
