Led by Head Coach Matthew Contreras, the Bella Vista Broncos showcased determination, grit, and exciting growth throughout a memorable 2024–25 soccer season.

Key Contributors

Oskar Mortensen, Melver Rangel, and Jack Priest were pivotal to the Broncos' success this year, consistently stepping up in critical moments and providing leadership and skill on the field.

Season Highlights

The season was a roller coaster, filled with thrilling finishes and resilient efforts. While there were a few frustrating ties that held the team back early on, the Broncos battled through the stretch run, winning and drawing key matches that ultimately earned them a spot in the playoffs.

In the postseason, Bella Vista fought valiantly, narrowly falling in the first round after conceding in the final minutes — a testament to their competitive spirit and never-say-die attitude.

Defining Moments

Two last-minute free kick victories and a hard-fought tie against powerhouse Woodcreek were among the season’s standout moments. These clutch performances energized the squad and set the tone for their late-season push toward the playoffs.

Player Development

Several players grew into bigger roles as the season progressed:

Cole Nilssen (Freshman) — Showed tremendous poise and talent beyond his years.

Liam Stanley (Senior) — Provided critical leadership on and off the field.

Austin Jones (Senior, Goalkeeper) — Became a rock between the posts when it mattered most.

Despite suffering a tough injury to key defender Santos Jimenez just before the playoffs, the team stayed resilient and pushed forward with pride.

Senior Leadership

This year’s senior class brought invaluable leadership, energy, and experience to the team. Their example helped set a strong foundation for the younger players who will carry the torch forward.

Bright Future

Coach Contreras is excited about the program’s future, especially after seeing six underclassmen — including a freshman and four sophomores — start consistently this season. Their early exposure to high-level competition bodes well for the Broncos in the years to come.

Offseason Plans

While Coach Contreras doesn’t oversee offseason training (with players participating in local club programs), the experience and growth from this season will certainly fuel the team's continued development.
