Bard High School Girls Basketball Season Preview

The 2024-25 season will become a historic year for Bard High School Girls' Basketball. Under the leadership of Head Coach Derrick Falletta, the team clinched its first-ever SEC Conference National Division Championship, shattered school records, and laid the foundation for a promising future.

Just a year after breaking the school's win record with 13 victories, Bard raised the bar again with an impressive 19-7 record, a new all-time high for the program. The turnaround has been nothing short of remarkable for a team that had never played more than 13 games in a season just a few years ago and held a 28-65 record in its first decade.

Takyiwah Otoo (Freshman) – Bursting onto the scene, Otoo scored 386 points, setting both the Bard freshman and single-season scoring records. Her ability to lead as a freshman was instrumental in Bard’s success.

Matenin Camara (Center) – A dominant interior presence, Camara added 343 points and an incredible 375 rebounds, anchoring the team in the paint on both ends of the court.
